Here’s a little bit about my personal journey:

My daughter, Alexa, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 2. I had just fallen into a good routine with her and my two month-old son when everything changed and my life became a struggle.

I had such a different picture of what our lives would look like- I’d be going to the park for play dates, cooking delicious dinners, living in a perfect Pottery Barn house and finding time to fit in exercise & get my monthly facials.

LOL…that didn’t happen…at least not right away.

Fast forward a few years and I realized I was drowning. I was not living a healthy life myself, and I desperately wanted that for Alexa and the rest of my family. We were picking up every cold and virus that passed our way and knew I needed to change something.

But how?

I started with one little step at a time- changing the family’s nutrition and eating habits was first. Once I felt empowered to do better in that department, everything else eventually fell into place and, although it has not always been perfect, it was better….for me and for them.

Better IS good enough…it doesn’t have to be perfect.
